EHRA Membership is awarded in the following categories:

A. Professional Member

Persons whose primary (over 50%) occupation is regular exempt level employment in the management of a human resource function; or any individual certified by the Human Resource Certification Institute; or any faculty member whose primary focus is human resource management, shall be eligible for a professional membership. Professional Members have voting rights and may hold an office in the EHRA.

B.  Associate Member

Persons whose primary (over 50%) occupation is in a non-exempt human resource position; or a person outside of the foregoing percentage who regularly performs human resource duties in the course of their normal work day and clearly demonstrates to the Board of Directors a bona fide interest in professional human resource development.  Associate members do not have voting rights and may not hold office in the EHRA; however, they may be committee members and attend meetings at the member rate.

C. Student Members

Persons who are current members of any college or university level SHRM chapter. EHRA recognizes the UE, USI, and OCU student chapters as EHRA affiliates. Student members do not have voting rights and may not hold office in the EHRA; however, EHRA affiliated student members may be committee members. Students from any college or university level SHRM chapter may attend EHRA meetings at the student rate.  Student membership privileges end upon graduation or discontinuance of their active student status.

EHRA membership is awarded in accordance with the Association's by-laws.  Recommendation by the Membership Committee and majority approval of the Board of Directors must be obtained to achieve membership in the organization.  Membership is on an individual basis and is not transferable to another individual.

Workshops, seminars, professional meetings, networking opportunities, as well as social gatherings make membership in EHRA an informative and enjoyable experience.

Annual membership dues are $50.00 for SHRM members and $70.00 for non-SHRM members.

You may apply online by clicking here. If you do not hear back within 2-3 weeks from the submission of your membership application, please contact the Membership Chairperson at Membership@ehranet.org

Upgrade Your Membership:

If your job responsibilities change or if you achieve PHR/SPHR/GPHR certification, then you may apply to have your membership upgraded.  You will need to complete a new membership application listing your new responsibilities and/or recertification.  The application will be reviewed by the Membership Committee and you will be notified of the results.  Professional members have voting rights and may hold an office with EHRA.  If you have questions, contact the Membership Chairperson at Membership@ehranet.org.
