This power-packed Summit will feature nationally-recognized speakers in the field of diversity and inclusion. Our theme “Cultivating Inclusion in the Workplace” focuses on providing attendees with tools and resources needed to promote inclusive work environments and communities. Summit sessions will cover a variety of workplace diversity topics including professional leadership, strategies to create flexible work environments, inclusion of LGBT employees, Latino culture and outreach, and religious diversity/ workplace accommodation. Local companies will also be recognized for their leadership and commitment to workplace inclusion during our breakfast awards presentation.

Brief Bio: The U.S. Department of Labor described Ms. Aranza’s work as “Outstanding.” She is consistently named among the top speakers by SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) and is a sought-after presenter at conferences worldwide. Ms. Aranza specializes in Leadership, Cross-Cultural Communications and Diversity. Her clients include top organizations such as Chevron,IBM, McDonald’s, NASA, Sodexo, State Farm Insurance, United States Department of Justice,United States Postal Service, United States Social Security Administration and many more. |

Brief Bio: Out & Equal Workplace Advocates is a national nonprofit organization addressing LGBT issues in the workplace. The organization convenes the world renowned Workplace Summit, the most widely attended and informative summit on LGBT issues, and other nationally recognized training programs. For more than a decade, Out & Equal has been working with organizations to create places of employment whose cultures embrace the contributions of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender employees and those who support them. The organization mobilizes tens of thousands of individuals through its regional affiliates, online job portal and employee resource group registry. |
Pat Baillie joined Out & Equal in January 2008 after retiring the second time in her career from Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technologies in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Prior to that, she served in the US Air Force retiring in 1993 as a Major. Her entire career has been involved with training, adult education, and activism. Pat graduated from California State University, Northridge with a Master’s Degree in Physical Education, Biology and Psychology. She decided to retire from the Air Force on the day that President Clinton announced "Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell" in 1993. She has worked extensively with sexual freedom issues as a spokesperson and educator and has worked on national grass roots organizing. Pat has also worked on Diversity Councils, statewide EEOC organizations and growing the local and statewide LGBT community as the Co-President of Albuquerque Pride for over 10 years. She lives in Oakland with her partner and travels extensively teaching, presenting and discussing the issues impacting LGBT equality in and out of the workplace.

Brief Bio: Kyra Cavanaugh is president of Life Meets Work, a consulting firm that helps organizations implement and improve workplace flexibility. She provides companies that are striving to be “best-in-class” with an online member-based community and services that include coaching, consulting, and training. In 2011, Kyra received the Work-Life Rising Star Award from AWLP, recognizing outstanding contributions to the field. She is a nationally recognized speaker, regularly presenting to chambers of commerce, SHRM, women’s affinity groups, diversity and work/life professionals, the Women’s Bureau and U.S Department of Labor. |

Brief Bio: Maura Robinson is president of M.G. Robinson, Inc., which provides consulting and training services in Organizational Development including cultural competency, customer service, and human resources. She specializes in Latino culture and populations at risk.
